Donate Today

Donate today and accept our deepest gratitude.

We are deeply committed to assisting individuals like Maryanna and Dawn, whose perseverance in the face of challenges inspires us. Maryanna’s determination to attend our, pre COVID, in-person meeting despite enduring a snowstorm and navigating two buses with her walker showcases the resilience of our community members. Similarly, Dawn’s struggle with neuropathy-fueled isolation, symbolized by her difficulty in opening her apartment main door, highlights the profound impact of this condition on some individual’s daily life.

Our priority is to provide a supportive environment where individuals like Maryanna and Dawn feel heard, understood, and empowered. By offering a compassionate ear for expressing concerns and fears, we strive to instill hope and optimism for a future where relief from neuropathic symptoms is attainable. Together, we are dedicated to making a positive difference in the lives of those affected by peripheral neuropathy.

What kind of impact?

Our information Line

In 2023 our information line and email connected with 59 people.  This in itself if no impressive, but depending on the person and their needs we spend hours hearing their story, listening to their fears, hearing of their experiences in the medical system, and providing them suggestions for their own self-management strategies.  We often answer questions about navigating the system, self advocating for themselves.  In the end, we send along a package of information that we hope will help them find relief, direction, and feel supported.

Webinar attendance

When recruiting guest speakers, we emphasize the importance of ensuring that their expertise, regardless of specialization, is relevant and applicable to Peripheral Neuropathy. Our goal is to provide attendees with tangible takeaways that they can implement in their daily lives. Whether it’s a new treatment approach, self-care technique, or symptom management strategy, even one valuable insight can make a significant difference in our members’ lives. We believe in empowering individuals with practical tools and strategies that enhance their self-management of Peripheral Neuropathy and improve their overall well-being.

CNA Connections – Support Meetings

It’s truly inspiring to witness the camaraderie and support within our community. Each time a new attendee shares their story, the group rallies together, offering invaluable insights, tips, and encouragement based on their own experiences. The gratitude expressed by individuals upon realizing they are not alone in their struggles is immeasurable and speaks to the profound impact of community and understanding in navigating this challenging journey.  Often there are those who join who only want to sit back, listen and learn.  Feel out the group to see if it is right for them.  We are OK with that, everyone is welcome and no one is pushed beyond their comfort.

Social Media & Our Reach

We answer people’s questions on-line, point them to resources and promote the CNA.  Our hope is each person we come in contact with will spread the word about Peripheral Neuropathy and the CNA.  We think it is working. After all, we’ve had Information Calls from Australia to Inuvik and from Nova Scotia to California.  We website visitors from around the globe, and in 2023 we had webinar attendees from: Canada, the US, the UK, Mexico, Italy, Australia, Brazil, Belgium, Greece, Hungary, Spain, Switzerland and Egypt!  The power of the internet is amazing!

These are all reasons we hope you will donate.  Support the CNA in any way you can; every bit makes a difference.
